Rainbow Unicorn Rainbow Chiffon Cake

Here's a new Unicorn Chiffon Cake with Rainbow on top of a Rainbow Chiffon Cake! I've made a number of different Unicorn Chiffon Cakes for my friends. It seems to be forever popular <3.

The Rainbow chiffon cake is my signature creation. I've shared recipe for my Rainbow Chiffon in my first book, Creative baking: Chiffon Cakes two years back. It even made the book cover! After the book came out, it was trending among home bakers and even bakeries =).

Recipe for Chiffon Cake Rainbow is also shared in Creative baking: Chiffon Cakes. Hope you will like these sweet ideas!

The Chiffon Unicorn with step-by-step illustrations will be shared in my newest 3rd cookbook Deco Chiffon Cake Basics coming out in Sept/Oct. The 3rd book will be very different from the 1st and 2nd books, focusing on getting the Basic techniques of Deco Chiffon right with more pictures!

Hope this sweet creation brings a smile to your faces! Have a great week ahead!

With lots of love,
Susanne

  1. Hi Susanne,

Love your creations! Going to attempt one of your cakes for my kid's birthday, and am wondering where can I get the cutters for cloud etc? Thanks!

  2. Hello
I am French, sorry for my English.
I tried to make a rag cake but mine comes out with a thin brown layer all around my cake and of course we no longer see the colors.
Does that happen to you too and the cakes you present are scratched before to see the beautiful colors?
I use a silicone mold ... maybe the crust does not adhere to the mold when demolding ??
How do you please? Is what you scratch the crust or is your cakes coming out colored directly?
    Thank you for your advice

    1. Hi Magali, try reducing the temperature further, high temperature causes the brown crust formation. You try baking at lower temperature for longer time till fully cooked. For silicone, it's easier to form the crust as compared to metal pans. Metal pans would be preferred. Silicone is possible to be used but maybe you need even lower temperature or greater distance from heat source. Thanks

  5. Hi Susanne,

I am planning to try make this cake but I only have a normal round pan and not a chiffon pan (with the hole in the middle). Would this work? Should I adjust the oven temperature? Thank you in advance 😊
